the foundation of a dream
Starting with aluminum skirting for manufactured homes, Nino quickly identified a growing need for outdoor spaces that could be enjoyed year-round, without the limitations imposed by weather or insects. This insight led to the creation of aluminum porch enclosures, setting the stage for the birth of TEMO Incorporated in 1971. Named to encapsulate Trust, Enthusiasm, Motivation, and Opportunity, TEMO was destined for greatness from its very inception.
Innovating for comfort usabilty
With a reputation for excellence beginning to spread, TEMO tackled the challenge of condensation in aluminum enclosures by designing the industry's first thermal roof. This innovation significantly improved the comfort and usability of TEMO's sunrooms, catapulting sales and setting new standards for the industry. The introduction of the Thermal Window Wall System in 1972 further revolutionized installation processes and enhanced the structural integrity and insulation of the enclosures, affirming TEMO's position as a leader in sunroom manufacturing.

The early 80s marked a period of rapid growth for TEMO, despite a recessive economy. By focusing exclusively on sunrooms and discontinuing its aluminum skirting line in 1981, TEMO embraced the philosophy of doing one thing exceptionally well. The relocation to Clinton Township, Michigan, in 1978 provided the necessary resources to sustain and accelerate this growth. Today, TEMO stands as the largest sunroom manufacturer in the United States, having enriched over 100,000 homes with its expansive product line that includes everything from patio covers and pergolas to carports and sunrooms.
