In general, screen rooms are low maintenance and don’t require regular cleaning. However, you may want to do a quick scrubbing of your screen room once a year or so or whenever you notice it getting dirty. Here’s exactly how to do that:
- Fill a bucket with dish soap and warm water—about a 50/50 mixture.
- Soak a soft-bristle brush in the soapy water, and then, gently scrub the screens and frame of the screen room.
- Rinse away the soapy water with your garden hose and let the structure air dry.
You may need to repeat this process if your screen room is particularly dirty. For any stubborn stains that can’t be removed using soapy water, mix vinegar and hot water (a 50/50 mixture) and use your soft-bristle brush to scrub the stain. Be sure to rinse away the vinegar with water!
